Fiber ProTector® Textile Protection

Preserving. Protecting. Prolonging.

At Fiber ProTector of West Michigan, we bring you the world’s most technically advanced, eco-friendly fiber protectant—Fiber ProTector®. Originally engineered in Norway for airplanes, cruise ships, and luxury hotels, this nano-technology treatment delivers superior stain, soil, UV, and wear protection for your home’s textiles. It’s suitable for both new and existing pieces—and completely harmless to people, pets, and the environment.

What It Does

Invisible Nano-Shield

Penetrates each fiber—not by coating—creating a breathable barrier that prevents soil

and fluids from becoming permanent stains.

Resists Sun & Wear

Protects against UV sun-fading (tested up to 20% improvement), reduces fiber abrasion

by as much as 60%, and limits flame spread.

Stops Bacteria & Allergens

Acts as a mechanical bacteriostat (kills 99.9% of tested bacteria), inhibits mold and

mildew growth, and prevents allergens from embedding.

Chemical-Safe & Eco-Friendly

EPA-rated safe, non-toxic, non-allergenic, and PFC-free, Fiber ProTector is fully

WoolSafe EnviroSeal® certified—no VOCs, no harmful fluorocarbons.

Applications: Where It Shines

Use on virtually any fibrous surface:

  • Upholstery, leather, and textiles
  • Carpets, area rugs (including Oriental/Persian)
  • Draperies, mattresses, outdoor furnishings
  • Commercial fabrics: office, hospitality, healthcare, transit, and more

Perfect for both everyday and heirloom pieces.

Why It Matters

  • Fewer stains & easier cleaning — spills simply bead and wipe away.
  • Cleaner indoor air — traps less dust, allergens, and microbes.
  • Longer textile life — protects gently without altering feel, color, or breathability.
  • Highly durable — withstands professional cleaning and regular wear for several years.
  • Saves on maintenance — less chem exposure, fewer deep cleans.

Our Service: Pure & Personal

Local experts—no subcontractors

  • All treatments are performed by our trained technicians—no middlemen. John’s 30+ years of experience in the industry ensures exceptional quality every time.

Our Rug Washing Process

Fine area rugs — especially Oriental and handwoven pieces — deserve specialized

care. That’s why we clean all rugs off-site in our professional rug washing facility, where

we can use safe, fiber-specific techniques and advanced tools not available for in-home

cleaning. Whether it's a family heirloom or a modern statement piece, your rug will be treated with

the highest level of care throughout the process.

The 7 Steps

Step 1: Pre-Inspection & Pickup

We begin with a detailed inspection to identify the rug’s fiber type, construction, and any

potential cleaning challenges. From there, we recommend a tailored cleaning plan. You

can drop your rug off, or we’re happy to arrange pickup and delivery. If furniture needs

to be moved before pickup, just let us know when scheduling.

Step 2: Dry Soil Removal

Using a combination of compressed air, pile lifting, vacuuming, and front-and-back

dusting, we gently remove deep-set dry soil and grit — a crucial first step before

introducing moisture.

Step 3: Pre-Treatment

Depending on the rug’s fiber content and soiling condition, we apply a cleaning solution

to help release embedded dirt, oils, and buildup. This prepares the rug for a more

thorough wash.

Step 4: Spot & Fringe Care

Stains and high-risk areas are treated with targeted spotting agents. We also pre-treat

the fringe with specialized solutions to remove soil without damage or discoloration.

Step 5: Full Wash with Purified Water

Your rug is thoroughly washed using purified water and fiber-safe cleaning solutions.

This deep-cleaning step removes soil, residue, and contaminants while protecting

delicate fibers and dyes. The gentle, controlled flow of water ensures your rug is

cleaned thoroughly without damage — restoring its beauty, softness, and vibrancy.

Step 6: Drying & Grooming

Once washed, your rug is carefully dried using professional drying equipment to prevent

overexposure to moisture. After drying, we gently groom the pile and fringe using soft

tools made specifically for fine rugs — restoring texture and overall appearance.

Step 7: Final Inspection & Delivery

We inspect your rug one last time before releasing it for return. Then it’s either ready for

pickup or delivered back to your home, fresh, clean, and beautifully restored.

Add Long-Term Protection

To help your rug stay cleaner longer and resist future stains, ask us about applying

Fiber ProTector — the world’s most advanced environmentally safe fabric protection

system. Ideal for both everyday use and heirloom-quality rugs, it helps preserve beauty,

extend life, and make ongoing care easier.

Tile & Grout Cleaning Process

Restore the look of your hard surfaces with our deep tile and grout cleaning process.

We use professional-grade equipment, advanced cleaning agents, and expert

techniques to lift grime and bring back the original beauty of your floors.

The 6 Steps

Step 1: Pre-Inspection

Our technician will assess the condition of your tile and grout, identify problem areas,

and set realistic expectations for the results. We'll walk through the space with you and

explain our recommended approach.

Step 2: Area Preparation

We take care to protect surrounding surfaces such as carpet and hardwood, and we

move any movable furniture before cleaning begins (please let us know in advance if

you need help moving larger pieces).

Step 3: Soil Suspension

A powerful, scientifically advanced cleaning agent is applied to the entire tile surface.

This breaks down built-up soils, oils, and residues — preparing the floor for deep

cleaning.

Step 4: Agitation & Deep Cleaning

Stubborn areas are first treated manually. Heavily used zones may be further agitated

using a mechanical rotary brush to loosen ground-in grime. The entire surface is then

thoroughly cleaned using professional equipment.

Rinsing & Neutralizing

As we clean, a rinse solution is applied to sanitize and neutralize pH, ensuring your

floors are safe, residue-free, and balanced.

Step 6: Final Inspection

After cleaning, we’ll walk through the area with you to review the results and ensure

you're fully satisfied with the outcome.

Our Carpet Cleaning Process

Your carpet works hard — and we believe a thoughtful, professional clean can help it

look and feel its best for years to come. Here’s what to expect when you trust us with

your carpet care:

1. Walkthrough & Assessment

We begin with a walkthrough of your home to assess the condition of your carpet. Our technician will identify any problem areas or potential permanent stains and discuss realistic expectations based on your carpet’s condition.

2. Dry Soil Removal

We start by removing dry soil using a commercial-grade vacuum or rotary brush system. This essential first step clears away debris and prepares the fibers for deep cleaning.

3. Furniture Considerations

Furniture moving is available for an additional fee. If you’d like us to move sofas, recliners, tables, or other items, just let us know when scheduling and we’ll provide a

quote.

4. Pre-Treatment

We apply a pre-conditioning solution to loosen ground-in soil, especially in high-traffic areas. Stubborn spots receive additional treatment to boost the effectiveness of our

cleaning.

7. Speed Drying

To reduce drying time, we use air movers immediately after cleaning. This helps you get

back to enjoying your space faster and minimizes moisture-related issues.

5. Deep Cleaning
& Rinse

We use a powerful hot water extraction system and purified water to deeply clean your carpet — removing dirt, oils, and residue without over-wetting or leaving behind sticky detergents. This process is safe for your home and supports a healthier indoor environment.

8. Final Walkthrough

Once cleaning is complete, we walk through the space with you to ensure you're happy with the results and answer any remaining questions.

6. Spot Treatment

Any remaining stains are given extra attention using professional-grade spotting products tailored to specific challenges (wine, ink, pet accidents, etc.).
